Mechanical Cycle
Reclaim & Fill. Ground crew push reclaimed trolleys onto a rear U-profile rail behind the enclosure. When the lane at the rear gate is empty, the motorized intake opens and gravity-feeds up to 50 nested trolleys into the lane. A linear pusher closes any final gap before the gate seals.
Horizontal 90° In-Plane Rotation. Four lanes are arranged in a compact 2×2 cubicle — two on the lower level (left = fill, right = dispense) and two stacked directly above. A continuous chain loop rotates the lanes 90° in the same plane, swinging the just-emptied dispense lane around to the fill position and bringing the next full lane into dispense. Footprint stays minimal because lanes share the cubicle volume.
03 · Plastic-Fin Dispensing. The dispense lane is gently inclined forward. The trolley queue rests against a row of UHMW-PE plastic fins — the genuine restraint of the system. A side-mounted push button is reachable by the traveler standing beside the lane. One press advances the stepper a single notch: the lead trolley is released and the next trolley slides into the fins.
Specifications
Reclaim and Fill Intake
Reclaimed trolleys are pushed onto a dual U-profile floor rail behind the enclosure. Capacitive sensors monitor the queue. When the lane at the rear gate registers as empty, the motorized intake gate opens and gravity-feeds nested trolleys into the lane — up to fifty per lane. A linear pusher closes the final gap before the gate seals and the lane becomes available for rotation into the dispense position.
• Dual U-profile reclaim rail • Motorized intake gate with anti-pinch edge
• Capacitive presence & count sensors • Linear pusher — gap closure
• Lane capacity: up to 50 nested trolleys • PLC-controlled with fieldbus interlocks
Horizontal 90° In-Plane Rotation
Four lanes are stacked in a compact 2×2 cubicle — two on the lower level (left = fill, right = dispense) and two directlyabove. A continuous chain loop, driven by a geared motor with toothed belt, indexes the lanes 90° in the same plane: thejust-emptied dispense lane swings around the cubicle to the fill position, while the next loaded lane arrives at the dispense gate. By sharing the cubicle volume, the system delivers 200-trolley capacity in a 6.4 m2 footprint.
• 2×2 lane stack — single cubicle • 90° in-plane horizontal indexing
• Continuous chain loop, both levels • Geared motor + toothed belt drive
• Absolute position sensors per corner • ± 0.5 mm linear variance
Plastic-Fin Dispensing
The dispense lane is inclined gently forward toward the passenger floor, so the trolley queue rests against a row of vertical UHMW-PE plastic fins — the genuine restraint of the system. A push button mounted on the SIDE wall of the lane at waist height lets the traveler trigger a release while standing beside the lane. One press advances the stepper-driven fin assembly a single step: the lead trolley is freed and rolls out silently, while the next trolley sliding in from the carousel is held in turn by the fins.
• UHMW-PE plastic fin restraint • Stepper motor — one step per press
• Side-mounted push button (waist height) • Forward-inclined dispense lane
• Lead trolley release point at front • Lane-empty sensor triggers next rotation
